Jim Nagengast is a seasoned financial services professional with over 30 years of industry leadership. 

Mr. Nagengast  served as President and CEO of Securities America from 2010 to 2024, in addition to previously holding key roles such as CFO and COO. Under his leadership, the firm grew significantly, strengthening its position as a top independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor.  His career has blended operational and technology leadership, financial expertise and regulatory influence.

In 2018, Mr. Nagengast made history as the first petition candidate elected to the FINRA Board of Governors for a large-firm seat. He holds an MBA in accounting and finance from Columbia Business School and an A.B. in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University. He is an avid snow skier and outdoorsman, and continues to be an active community leader in Omaha, Nebraska.
